I started my career as a veterinary assistant back in 2007. I continued working in small animal and exotic practices throughout my undergraduate years until completing my bachelor's degree in biochemistry, and eventually qualifying from UCD as a veterinary surgeon in 2015. I spent the next 5 years in mixed practice before deciding to focus exclusively on companion animal medicine, at which point I joined the Kilcoole Vets team in 2020. I am passionate about providing the best possible patient care through continual improvement of both my own skills and overall practice standards, and so I was delighted to take on the role of Clinical Director in 2021. In 2023, I achieved a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice from the RCVS with a focus on small animal medicine.
Outside of work and study, I love good food, good music, and walks through the beautiful Wicklow countryside. I also have a cat called Mojo and lurcher called Oliver to keep me on my toes.
